Partnership working will help deliver hundreds of homes

GOSMORE LANE – ELM (19)

Our partnership with Freebridge Community Housing has led to nearly 200 homes being built across King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

We started working with Freebridge in 2019, providing project management support on six schemes as they worked to increase their provision.

Our colleagues also helped identify sites for development and provided management support.

Freebridge also became a delivery partner under our 2021-2026 strategic partnership with Homes England, securing them an allocation of grant funding for the delivery of 291 units across 11 sites.

So far, 187 of these have been completed.

Christine Steele, Head of Development and Programme, said: “Our partnership with Freebridge has helped deliver hundreds of new homes in the East region, specifically across King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, and gives people the chance to have a place to call home.

“This has all been achieved alongside our own commitment to build 1,000 new homes a year, which is testament to the hard work and ability of our colleagues.

“We’ve worked closely with colleagues from Freebridge to help them with identifying sites, managing projects and seeing them through to fruition. Without that input, these homes may never have been delivered.

“It’s been a fruitful relationship for both organisations. As Freebridge has now created its own team, it has the chance to explore new opportunities.

“We wish them all the best for the future while we continue to build more new homes across the Midlands, East and Southeast of England.

“I’d also like to thank everybody who’s worked hard as part of this partnership over the years.”
