WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching can be likened to personal training, but for your mind. In the same way that personal training will improve your physical health, coaching will help to improve your mental health and wellbeing. I specialise in working with clients who want to increase their overall wellness and particularly those who want to reduce their stress and anxiety or increase their self-esteem.
Drawing on my counselling qualifications and training, I use an integrative approach in my coaching. I employ psychological research and theories to deliver evidence-based interventions to help my clients. To do this I use a variety of theories and methods in my work but particularly draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which requires clients to examine and identify negative thoughts and patterns of behaviours and gives solution-focused tools and skills to address these.
I also provide walking coaching to my clients. Often when you’re feeling stuck mentally the best thing to do is to physically move. There has been a great deal of research into how moving and getting out into nature can not only have a positive effect on your physical health but also for your mental wellbeing.
I offer walking coaching as an option to all of my clients. These sessions can either be purchased as a package consisting of entirely walking coaching sessions or we can integrate walking coaching within a wider programme.
