We’ve signed contracts which will see hundreds of affordable homes being built across three sites.
A total of 305 homes are going to be built in Eye and Great Haddon in Cambridgeshire and in Sharnbrook in Bedfordshire.
They’ll be made available on tenures including social rent, affordable rent, Rent to Buy and Shared Ownership.
We’ll be working with Allison Homes, Vistry and Bellway Homes on the three sites.
Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer, said: “We have got existing relationships with each of these builders, so to have the opportunity to work with them and deliver hundreds of new homes on these sites was something we were keen to explore.
“It’s great that contracts have now been signed and work can begin as we look to build the homes people want, where they’re needed most.
“We know that these homes will address the need for affordable housing in each area and by creating mixed-tenure communities, we’ll be making places that people are proud to call home.
“I’m looking forward to watching each of these schemes progress, and the homes take shape.”
We’re working with Allison Homes to provide 130 homes on Eyebury Road in Eye. These homes are part of Allison Homes’ wider 265-home Colliers Rest development, and the agreement follows the recent announcement of us building 80 homes in Sawtry together.
Vistry will be building 100 homes in Great Haddon. This agreement follows recent partnerships between us, which will see 128 homes built in Littleport as part of the wider Quantum Fields development and 20 homes at Saldon Place in Milton Keynes.
Each of these new schemes is part-funded by Homes England as part of our strategic partnership.
Meanwhile, Bellway Homes will be building 75 homes in Sharnbrook.
