More than £320 million of government funding will help us build 2,500 new affordable homes.
We’ve been awarded £320.5 million as part of the Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP).
The funding is part of a wider £39 billion programme, which is the largest investment in social and affordable housing in a generation.
The money will mean we can build even more affordable housing across all of our operating regions.
Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer, said: “We have an ambitious development programme which aims to deliver 1,000 homes per year, and this funding will help us to bring several projects forward and start building the homes people need in the communities we serve.
“With the confirmation of this funding, we’ll also be able to maintain the momentum we’ve got and continue to build much-needed affordable housing at scale.
“Our bid involved lots of work from many colleagues across the organisation, so to be awarded the full amount we bid for is really positive news and something we’re really pleased about.
“This is a really encouraging day and we’re excited about the opportunities it will help to unlock.”
We’re one of 33 Homes England Strategic Partners to receive funding through the SAHP.
