We’re investing tens of millions of pounds in improving the energy efficiency of thousands of our homes.
As part of this work through the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund – previously known as the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund – we’ll be completing work on our 1,000th home imminently.
We’ve been working to improve customers’ living conditions in areas across Peterborough, Rushden, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, North Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Birmingham.
As part of our retrofit works, we’ve installed thousands of energy efficiency improvement measures, including external wall and loft insulation, new windows and doors, air source heat pumps, solar panels and ventilation upgrades.

Fallon Warren, Head of Asset Optimisation, Sustainability and Commercial Facilities, said: “Providing warm, energy-efficient homes for our customers is a priority for us as an organisation and we’re investing around £42.5 million as part of the latest wave of the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund to do this.
“I’m delighted to see the project on the verge of hitting the 1,000 homes landmark as this means more of our customers are now living in easier to heat homes which will only help enhance their health and wellbeing, especially as we move into the colder winter months.
“Our teams continue to work hard to improve more homes each day and we’ll keep investing in our homes to bring them up to standard.”

A majority of customers who’ve had work done as part of the programme leave us with positive feedback.
One customer in Oundle, near Peterborough, said they’d already noticed a difference in their energy costs following the work.
They added: “It was an amazing experience and the workers have been fantastic.
“They worked around our caring needs and we can’t thank everyone enough.”
